What We Do

Find out what has happened and the plans for the Age Related Medicines Focus Group.

The Focus Group organised Age-Related Medicines sessions at the 74th FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2014, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Annual Conference 2014, the 5th APS International PharmSci Conference in 2014, the 7th APS International PharmSci Conference 2016, and a session on “Age-related Medicines” during the APS@FIP conference 2018, bringing expertise on clinical, industrial perspectives and regulatory considerations. In May 2015, the Age-Related Medicines Focus Group organised a meeting on “Parkinson’s Disease: From Patient to Product” which took place at GlaxoSmithKline Ware, UK. The event was the first of a planned series of disease specific meetings organised by APS and created a platform to discuss the provision of medicines for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) from a pharmaceutical sciences perspective. The meeting notes of some of the Focus Group events were published in scientific journals.
