The APS Nanomedicine focus group, are proud to announce this second one-day special symposium. This symposium builds on past nanomedicine events at PharmSci and the first Nanomedicine Symposium Nanomedicines for the Delivery of Biologics. This latest Nanomedicine meeting is seeking to address a critical knowledge gap within the UK and beyond.

The focal point of the meeting is the use of nanomedicine to overcome biological barriers to drug delivery, which requires an interdisciplinary approach and insight, as reflected by the key elements addressed in this symposium:

  •  The biological barriers to delivery
  • Pharmaceutical nanoformulations
  • Industry insights
  • Clinical translation of nanomedicines

Speakers will include key industrialists and academics with expertise in nanomedicines spanning from bench to bedside, for example:

  • Formulating mRNAs for topical delivery
  • Nanomedicines for cytosolic delivery
  • Phage mimetic self-assemblies for brain delivery
  • Design of Goldilocks nanomedicines
  • Industry insights of nanomedicine manufacture
  • Taking nanoparticles into the global market

From submitted abstracts 3 will be selected for oral presentations.

If you have an interest in nanomedicines for overcoming biological barriers then this meeting will bring together an interdisciplinary community with a shared interest in nanomedicines, providing networking opportunities, while also addressing the opportunities and challenges this field faces.

This meeting is ideally suited for PhD candidates, academics, industrialists and regulatory personnel. The PhD registration rate is £50 (excl. VAT).
